November 30, 2006 - February 4, 2007

Design drawings, master plans, photographs and short films, illustrate the world of urban planning and architecture of the 1950s and 1960s and Constantinos A. Doxiadis's contribution in this context. Although the main emphasis was on the processes of urbanization and spatial restructuring in the developing world, the exhibition focused also on urban planning in the era of US Liberalism of the 1960s and Doxiadis’s role within this framework. Materials about his Greek projects (starting from his role as minister responsible for housing and reconstruction immediately after World War II), were also displayed in one of the main sections. His life and intellectual labor, as well as his broad international network of collaborations with other famous urban planners, architects, scientists and artists of the post World War II period, were also presented.
At the same premises an International Workshop took place on December 1 and 2, 2006.
