Subject Content: In the beginning, H. Hatcher, J. A. Perkins and S. A. Doxiadis talks about the relationship between university and society and students suspiciousness towards teachers, whom they see as belonging to the status quo.
J. A. Perkins delivers a long lecture on the changes in society and the individual which pressure universities to conform, in order to preserve its role. He proposes a two-way relationship and proximity between the university and the city.
M. Meyerson next speaks of the universitys role. He argues that, apart from communicating knowledge, it should also communicate values as well as cultivate aesthetics.
Towards the end of the meeting a discussion between university professors and students takes place, and speakers refer to various instances of violence between students in American universities.
