| Subject Content: | The meetings opening talk is by W. Brown, who speaks of the collaboration of private initiative and local self-government institutions in the attempt to solve problems and gives some examples in American cities.
Next, S. Udall attempts a review of the sixties, specifically referring to US politics on planning and space programs. A discussion follows these two talks. Participants ask questions, there is no specific speaker order. The main themes of discussion are on the distribution of state funds and ways to do this better. In the end of the discussion C. A. Doxiadis summarizes its main points. In the second part of the meeting W. Young and R. C. Wood speak about ways different social groups can cooperate. W. Young specifically refers to middle class behaviors in USA. In the end of the second part V. Sarabhai speaks of the priorities developmental countries set for their progress. |
